Evelyn was born August 10, 1931 in Hardyville, Kentucky. A daughter of Elvin L. and Audrey E. Perkins Reynolds. She married John H. “Jack” Fawver on July 29, 1950 in Gibson City, IL. He passed away on May 16, 2005. Her parents also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her loving daughter Rita (Michael) Peters of Gibson City. Two grandchildren, whom she was very proud of, Melissa Rich of Lexington and Darrin (Lindsey) Peters of Mahomet, and four precious great grandchildren Morgan (Noah Worby) Baillie of Plainfield, Adam Baillie of Champaign, and Tinley Peters and Trey Peters of Mahomet. Her brother Frank (Cynthia Waldron) Reynolds of Henrico, Virginia and a sister-in-law Donna Reynolds of Chesterfield, Virginia also survive as well as many, many friends.
Evelyn worked at Shockey’s clothing store in Gibson City. She then worked at Gibson Area Hospital in the physical therapy department, and then in cardio pulmonary until she was eighty years old. She was kind and gentle, yet encouraging with all of her patients that she worked with and with everyone that she met along the way. She loved to laugh and never had a cross word for anyone. She was a precious lady that we all are going to miss very much.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to Dr. David Hagan, Ginny, Amy, Alicia and all of the wonderful Angels at the Annex who took such loving care of her. Your love, kindness, and friendship did not go unnoticed and we appreciate each and every one of you. It will never be forgotten.
