Terry Lowery

Terry L. Lowery, 74, of Gibson City peacefully passed away at 3:15 am Tuesday November 7, 2023 at Goldwater Care Nursing Home in Gibson City. His graveside service will be held 10:30 am Friday November 10, 2023 at Drummer Township Cemetery in Gibson City. Memorial contributions may be made to an organization of the Donor's Choice.

Terry was born March 7, 1949 in Bloomington. A son of Fred C. and Marjorie Brock Lowery. He married Juanita Unzicker on July 11, 1998 in Roberts.

He is survived by his friend and brother-in-law Steven Foster of Gibson City. His children and step children Dale Lowery of Paxton, Cheryl Lowery of Gamble, Alaska; April (Dennis) Bulanda of McHenry; Stephanie (Matthew) Kritzer of Owens Cross Roads, Alabama; Sheila Zellers of Homer; Shane (Tia) Steinlicht of Mahomet; Josh Steinlicht of Geneseo. Also, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He remained friends with Juanita and she survives in Gibson City. Terry is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Nancy Foster.

Terry served in the United States Army and was stationed in Alaska. He retired from GCMS Elementary school after thirty-three years of dedication to keeping the classrooms clean and the floors shined. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
