Lynn Allen

Lynn M. Allen, 74, of Gibson City peacefully passed away at 12:10 am Saturday October 21, 2023 at the Gibson Area Hospital – Annex. An open house Celebration of Life will be held 12:00pm-3:00pm Saturday November 18, 2023 at the Lee Lowery American Legion Hall in Gibson City. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Lynn was born January 17, 1949 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. A daughter of Herbert and Birdella (Carnes) Wagner. She married Gary S. Allen on July 13, 1968 in Palmyra, Missouri.

She is survived by her loving and devoted partner and best friend of fifty-five years Gary Allen of Gibson City. Two children that she was very proud of Daniel (Janice) Allen of Gibson City and Angie Allen of Troy. Five grandchildren that adored her and six precious great grandchildren. And her sister Dee Clump of Kirkwood, Missouri. She was preceded in death by a brother.

Lynn helped her husband farm and they loved to go fishing together. She was a rural route mail carrier for thirty-two years. She will be missed by her family and friends.
