LaVon Thedens, 91, of Bloomington, peacefully passed away at 10:55 am Monday July 12, 2021 at Heritage Health Nursing Home in Gibson City. A private family graveside will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery in Anchor. Memorial contributions may be made to an organization of the Donor’s choice.
LaVon was born May 28, 1930 in Anchor. A daughter of Albert C. and Elsa J. Schmidt Thedens.
She is survived by her sister Dolores Taylor, two nephews Jeffery (Gail) Taylor and Timothy (Dori) Keim and niece Marni (Mike) Bishop. Her great nieces and nephews Rodney (Jennifer) Taylor, Rob Taylor, Amy Taylor, Jaisi (Jesse) Jiles, Laini (Eric) Uden, Leah Keim and Lauren Keim. And her great great nieces and nephews Hannah Taylor, Hayden Taylor, Raylan Taylor and Sebastian Uden.
LaVon is preceded in death by her parents, sister Joan and brother-in-law Gary Keim, brother-in-law Bruce Taylor, Nephew Rodney Taylor, Great nephew Tyler Keim and special friend Donald Donaldson Sr.
LaVon was a long time and dedicated member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Normal. She worked in the McLean County’s Treasurer’s office for thirty-eight years. She loved her family and they were very important to her and she loved taking care of them. She was a strong willed and independent lady. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
