Kathrine D. Jensen, 79, of Gibson City died at 8:10 am Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal.
Her graveside service will be held 10:30am Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Foosland. The Rev. John Tennyson will be officiating.
Kay was born July 22, 1939 in Champaign, IL. A daughter of Ralph and Lucy Lyon Shields. She married Jim Jensen.
Surviving are two daughters, Julie (Charlie) Turner of Gibson City and Tina Leffler of Fairbury; one son, Randy (Cathy) Keith of Monticello; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and one sister, Barbara Unangst of Bluffton, South Carolina.
She was preceded in death by a grandson and a sister.
Kay was a secretary at Central Soya for 21 years.
Memorials may be made to Gibson City United Methodist Church or to the Alzheimer's Association.
