Jeanette was born July 13, 1951 in Macon County, a daughter of Earl W. and Lucy A. Pritchett Kater. She is survived by her four children Jeff (Kristy) Castelli of Argenta, Laura Sherrer of Springfield, Don "Billy" (Kattie) Stevens of Oreana and Michael Dickson of Argenta. Nine grandchildren Joanie (PJ) Butler, Victoria Castelli, Emily Castelli, Ashley (Alec Jarnagin) Wood, Matthew Wood, Samantha Wood, Donavin Stevens, Torey Stevens, Kaitlynn Stevens, Drew Donoho and Jillian (Mark) Golden and several great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother Wayne Kater and a sister Lucinda Clark, both of Decatur. She was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter Rachel Wood.
Jeanette looked forward to attending Eastview Christian Church in Normal every week, she loved Jesus, and was recently baptized. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her love language was greeting cards. She took great care in picking out the perfect cards for birthdays and special occasions, never forgetting and making sure her loved ones knew she was always thinking of them with the goal of making them feel special after receiving one. She was a St. Louis Cardinal baseball fan and named her parakeet Yadier. She found peace when feeding the squirrels and birds that visited her yard and even named them because they were frequent visitors. She will be
missed by all who knew and loved her.
