Connie Davis

Constance M. Davis, 68, of Peoria formerly of Gibson City passed away Saturday June 10, 2023 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

A private family graveside service will be held at a later date in Drummer Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.

Connie was born May 23, 1955 in Gibson City. A daughter of Thomas E. and Lois M. Christensen Rhodes.

She is survived by her four children. Christina (Ryan) Smothers of Pekin, Pricilla (Andy) Wallis of Foosland, John (Chloe) Davis of Bloomington and Brianna (Phil) Stoneburg of Mt. Zion. Seven grandchildren Aiden, Aloisia, Autumn, Ava, Able, Aurora and Alex. Also her siblings Steve (Victoria) Rhodes of Foosland and Thomas Mark Rhodes of Urbana. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Connie was a talented artist. A bright and shining graduate of Gibson City High School, she painted and created with her hands and was known to draw detailed pencil sketches of someone's features in five minutes.

A free spirit with a gentle and precient nature, Connie will be missed but never forgotten by her friends and family. “She loved us so much.”
