Anthony "Tony" Lowe

Anthony S. “Tony” Lowe, 47, of Melvin formerly of Elgin suddenly passed away at 10:41pm Friday June 9, 2023 at the Gibson Area Hospital in Gibson City. Visitation will be held 10:00am-12:00pm Friday June 16, 2023 at Rosenbaum Funeral Home in Gibson City. Funeral services will follow beginning at 12:00 pm with Pastor Liz Reis officiating. Burial will take place in Melvin Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Tony was born November 7, 1975 in Elgin. A son of Robert A. and Sandra K. Arnold Lowe. He married Melissa M. Young on March 14, 2014 in Woodstock.

He is survived by his wife and best friend Melissa Lowe of Melvin and their four children Breanna (Matthew Langenfeld) Lowe of Bolivar, Tennessee; Christopher Young of Gibson City, IL; Anthony Lowe of Melvin, IL and Evangeline Lowe of Melvin, IL. His father Robert A. Lowe of Cary, IL and his mother Sandra (Larry) Stemple of South Elgin, IL. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his stepmother Linda Lowe.

Tony worked at Elgin Industries and then for Ni Cor Gas as a meter reader, then in the office with quality assurance. He was a great mechanic and could fix anything. He was very patriotic and owned a military truck, working on it was his passion. He enjoyed camping and swimming. Being with his family and friends was very important to him. He will be missed by many.
