Dorothy Kaiser

Dorothy M. Kaiser, 91, of Melvin, peacefully passed away at 5:17 pm Tuesday April 6, 2021 at Carle Bromenn Medical Center in Normal. Visitation for Dorothy will be held 9:30-11:00 am Wednesday April 14, 2021 at Rosenbaum Funeral Home in Gibson City followed by a Celebration of Life service beginning at 11:00 am with The Rev. John McIntosh officiating. A private family burial will take place at Ridgeland Township Cemetery in Thawville. Memorial contributions may be made to The Bloomington Normal Humane Society or to an Organization of the Donor's Choice.

Dorothy was born February 4, 1930 at home in the country between Melvin and Chatsworth, a daughter of Harry and Goldie West Hall.

She is survived by a son Kenneth (Diane) Kaiser of Anchor. Two granddaughters who she was very proud of - Kimberly Burdette and Kelly Kaiser of Gibson City, five precious grandchildren Samantha Kaiser, Madyson Price, Zachary Price, Paytyn Burdette and Bodey Price and one great great granddaughter Skylar Kaiser who she adored as well as her faithful furbaby Sophie. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers James, Gerald and Ellsworth Hall and a sister Lola Johnson.

Dorothy had a green thumb and enjoyed her plants. She also enjoyed watching cooking shows and collecting cookbooks, always making and baking new recipes for everyone. She had a great love for animals and supported their causes. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and she will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
